1) Do a cleanse
In Ayurvedic tradition, a cleanse for the body and mind are experienced at the beginning of the season. Clean your room, clean your pantry (bye bye processed foods) ,clean your mind (start journaling, try mindfulness, dance your worries away)
2) Get into action
Think of adding more warm water, increase your activity level (hello, long nature hikes) and eat foods that are nourishing and easy to digest. In Spring, Ayurveda recommends adding lemon, ginger, turmeric and black pepper to the diet, as they stimulate and detox.
3) Strike a pose
If you are an avid yogi, yoga poses or asanas are likely in your daily repertoire. If you are not, consider these 3 movements / poses which help to invigorate and stimulate.
4) Sleep
In Ayurveda, Sleep is the Mother Goddess. Ayurveda recommends following a circadian rhythm of sleep at 10pm and wake by 6am so that you mirror the sun.
